According to a report in the WIRE dated August 2003 well over 900 Members and guests attended this years Annual Corps Reunion at Blandford Camp in Dorset. The weekend commenced at 1030 Hrs on Saturday 28 June with the Princess Royal Day Parade, formed by Officers and Soldiers of 11 Signal Regiment. In the area in front of the Corps Museum was a display of vintage vehicles including a number of old Comms vehicles. An opportunity to try out an SA80 rifle converted to shoot laser rounds at a high tech video target. (no 'pasting up' here lads). MajGen Tony Boyle CB Chairman of the RSA took the first shot and challenged members to beat his score. The afternoon arena show started with a display by the Massed Bands (Corps Band, TA Band and Corps Pipes & Drums) after which the Corps Free Fall Parachute Display Team dropped from high to land on Hawk Square. The Corps RSM WO1 Staniford then took the six finalists of the Standard Bearers Competition through their paces. Our thanks go to RSM Staniford and his assistants WO2 Davies, SSgt Morley, Sgt McTurk and Mrs Hurst. There followed an excellent display of daring and skill by the White Helmets. The Master of Signals MajGen Ian Sprackling OBE then presented Barry Moody (Scarbourough Branch) with the Winners Trophy for the Standard Bearers Competition. Barry also received a Silver Salver and a badge for his carrying strap. Archie Cairns representing 260 Signal Squardron (SAM) Association then received the Standard Bearers 'Runner Up' Salver.

I hope after watching the following presentation you will want to join us for the 2004 Royal Corps of Signals Reunion at Blandford. The Reunion will be held at Blandford Camp Dorset on the last weekend in June 2004. For more information see the NEWS Page.
