Reunion to be held at the Ramada Jarvis Hotel in Leicester in 2006

Ramada Jarvis Hotel Les
260 Sig Sqn (SAM) Reunion 2006

On the 8th June this year our Secretary Geoff Scott announced that the annual reunion in 2006 is to be held a the Ramada Jarvis Hotel in Leicester on the weekend of the 28th - 30th April 2006

With a mailing list of over 200 we have been aware for some time now that our membership has outgrown the Ramada Jarvis Hotel in Loughborough and if everyone decided to come at once the hotel would not be able to accommodate us.

The Ramada Jarvis Hotel is located right in the heart of Leicester with free parking for 120 vehicles offering easy access to other nearby attractions including Drayton Manor Theme Park, Twycross Zoo and the National Space Science Centre. Worth noting if you plan to stay on for a few days after the reunion.

Through our long standing relationship with the Ramada Jarvis in Loughborough John Townson, Geoff & Beryl Scott between them have managed to secure a competitive rate for our stay a Leicester . The down side is we will be leaving behind the staff at Loughborough which we have formed a strong bond with over the years, but we are confident we will quickly establish the same kind of rapport with the staff at Leicester.

Alton Towers The UK's most famous theme park is an adventure not to be missed, and is just a short drive away.

Castle Park This park has all the attractions to admire including gardens, churches, ancient walls and much more.

Bradgate Park Visit the untouched moorlands with ruins of Bradgate House, the home of Lady Jane Grey.

The Shires Shopping Centre This is one of the largest shopping centres in the UK and boasts all the well known high street retailers.

Leicester Bar

Ramada Leicester Bar.

Where likely as not we will enjoy a few amber nectars as we chat with old friends and reminisce over times past in these pleasant surroundings.

Club Restaurant

Ramada Club Restaurant

Where breakfast will likely be served. For those that need to eat all through the night. Room service is available 24 hours a day.

Function Room

Leicester Event Room

Although unconfirmed this magnificent 'Event Room' is most likely where we will hold the evening meal which is certainly something special to look forward to.
