WHERE ARE THEY NOW ?
Since this website was
established in 2001 it's primary goal has been to identify and trace every
soldier who served with or was attached to, 260 Signal Squadron and the three
Signal Troops 653, 654 & 655 the units providing communications for the Royal Artillery's
Thunderbird II Surface to Air Missile System in the sixties and seventies. So far we have traced over 200
ex-members of these units and with your help we could do a great deal better.
Please spend a little time going through
this list and try to remember where these lads came from. Were they married?
What was their wife's name? Where were their married quarters? What football
team did they support? What were their hobbies & interest's? Did they play
sport for the Sqn? Where were they posted to when they left 260? Did you serve
with them in another unit? Who where their friends? Believe it or not this sort
of information could help trace them.
